Have you ever wanted to be a part of an Improv comedy troupe like Mad Cowford Improv? Well, here is your chance. We are holding auditions for talented and committed people this July 24th at Hotel Indigo. If you think that you have what it takes, then join us at the auditions. Dress comfortably and be prepared to have fun! Also, be prepared to perform improv for almost all of the two hours.

Mad Cowford Show Every Friday at Northstar Substation Our comedy shows are filled with high-energy, fast-paced, improvisation games based upon your suggestions. So, invite your friends and family out this Friday night for our show and for Northstar Substation's great food and drink specials. Northstar Substation is located right next to the Ivy Bar, right behind the Florida Theatre and next to our workshop space. For directions from where you live, please see below for the Mapquest tool. Parking along the street is free at night. If you have problems parking, we suggest the Courthouse parking lot on the river between Market and Liberty Streets, which is free after 6:00 PM. As we found out last week, get there early to get the best seats and to get your food order in. New Round of Workshops Begin in late Summer
Our new workshops will start on May 10th, and we are sold out for this workshop. However, we will be starting up a new round of Beginners and Advanced Workshops in the late summer timeframe.
This is an introduction to improvisation. No prior improv, comedy, or theatre experience is required. Even if you have attended the Beginners (formerly called, "Improv 101") workshops before, it is okay to attend again. Please note, previous attendees of our Advanced workshop, we will NOT be having an Advanced workshop until next year, so, if you want a refresher before our Advanced Workshops start up next year, feel free to join us.
Learn how to think on your feet better, hone your listening skills, and have fun doing it! It does not matter whether you are an actor, a plumber, a lawyer, a comedian, or any other occupation: you will learn the basics of improvisation which the most of the great comedic performers of the last few generations learned, like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, John Belushi, Mike Nichols, and Chris Farley. Plus, you will build self esteem and laugh!
Cost: $12 per class or $60 for all 6 weeks (still best improv training value in town!!!) - We accept cash or checks made out to "Mad Cowford Improv." We also provide the ability to pay via Paypal with a credit card.
Tips: Wear something comfortable, including shoes, and a bottle of water. You can bring a notebook, but most of the learning involves physical movement.
